Conducts special studies addressing assigned program issues and provides advice and guidance as required. Description: Provide overall management of all projects and personnel, as well as PRT team support in their geographic location in support of the District. Works directly for the Chief of Construction, working as a team to manage the missions and personnel within their area of responsibility. Work directly with the Contract Administration Branch (CAB) and Engineering Sections to assist Resident Engineers (RE) in execution of their missions. Work through the Resident Engineers to properly manage the projects and personnel assigned to them. Has oversight of RE negotiations and settlement of contract modifications. Ensures all projects are properly closed-out with documentation properly inputted into RMS and documented. Relocate personnel within the Area Office as required by work load, their personal strengths and weaknesses, personalities and specific needs of the projects. Ensure all personnel are properly recognized for their performance and contributions through awards, evaluations, and periodic feedback. Coordinates closely with the Program Managers and Project Managers to ensure proper contract administration and construction management. Have direct access to the District staff (S-l through S-4, including the Deputy Commander) for support issues.
